2o years ago I packed up my stuff and moved from Pico Rivera to the dorms at UCLA and never went back.  I’ve lived west of La Brea ever since, spending most of my time here in the West Hollywood area.  I think being a fat woman on this side of town gives you a unique experience, no one quite knows what to make of you.  If I had stayed in Pico Rivera I’d just be another “big boned” latina but here on the west side I’m often confused for a housekeeper, nanny, nurse or just lost.  In this blog I’ll tell you all about what its like to be me – good, bad and often ugly.
